We recently had the pleasure of working with Kyle, the manager at Koze Teppan Grill, to help arrange a special Father’s Day dinner for my parents, complete with a surprise announcement for our family. From the very beginning, Kyle couldn’t have been more accommodating. He was genuinely excited to help us pull everything together and went well beyond what we expected to make the evening feel truly special. What stood out most wasn’t just that everything went smoothly—it was the level of care and attention he showed my parents throughout their visit. You could tell he wasn’t simply doing his job; he was personally invested in making sure they had an unforgettable experience. That kind of genuine hospitality is becoming increasingly rare, and it speaks volumes about both Kyle and the culture at Koze Teppan Grill. Hearing how well they were treated and seeing how much effort was put into making the celebration memorable meant a great deal to our family. We went to Koze today to celebrate Mother’s Day and had the BEST experience. We sat at the teppanyaki grill and Rhys was hands down the best chef we’ve ever had there, and we’ve been coming since they first opened. Everything was cooked perfectly, especially the steak. Even our toddler’s steak was cut perfectly for him, which was such a thoughtful touch and honestly meant a lot as parents. Rhys made the whole experience fun and comfortable. The conversation felt natural, not forced, and he had us laughing the entire time. You can really tell he cares about giving people a great experience, not just cooking the food. Alize, the manager, was also amazing and incredibly attentive throughout the meal. The whole staff made our celebration feel special. Definitely one of our favorite visits to Koze ever!

Food is great, but you have to check your ticket!!! Sometimes they automatically add a 20% gratuity and don’t tell you, so you end up leaving a 40% tip. They also round up tickets—for example, if the bill is $100 and split between four people, instead of charging $25 each, they charge $25.99. It’s not a lot of money, but between that and the inconsistent gratuity policy (I’ve been charged it automatically for a party of four sometimes and other times not), it kind of seems like they’re trying to get a little extra however they can. I’m not sure if it’s an owner, management, or server issue.

It was a fun experience and the food was delicious. Chef John was amazing too.

We have been there twice now: once for hibachi and another time at a regular table. The decor is pleasant and classy enough. The food is actually quite good. We enjoyed the sushi and appetizers. The creme brulee dessert was a fail. The custard is an unattractive muddy green and the sugar layer is very thick and hard. Service was acceptable but not stellar. Hibachi chef was a pleasant gentleman, the experience lacked spectacle and awe. It was basic... The food came out good, however.
